The people you may encounter are incredibly friendly - I mean the Whole Island. Who from the NYC area would think of waving a greeting to everybody who passes by? That sure isn't a normal hand-waving I'm accustomed to from my area! If you are looking for a low key vacation, that's key on privacy and comfort, THIS IS the place! The worst thing about my vacation was leaving!"

We adventured around the island on the golf cart and found some wonderful beaches. I would say that it is beyond romantic. Captivating is more like it. We arranged for groceries to be delivered the day of our arrival so we didn't have to worry about that. We loved the island so much that we only went over to St. Thomas one time the week we were there. I had also considered going to St. John snorkeling but we decided that the beaches on Water Island were so beautiful that we would probably be disappointed. We snorkeled at Water Island instead. Our only regret is that we didn't stay longer. I tried to talk my husband into changing our plane tickets and staying."
